The Talented Mr Ripley by A. Minghella

In the 1950's, Tom Ripley, penniless though ambitious musician is hired by Mr Greenleaf to bring back his idle and spendrift son, Dickie who lives the Dolce Vita with her fiancée in Italy.

Ripley discovers a world of pleasure and luxury and good living and forgetting his mission, he lusts to become Dickie's friend and be part of his world whatever the price might be!





Seven Pounds by G. Muccino

Tim Thomas carelessly sending a text message while driving causes a multi-car crash in which seven people die.

Two years later, in a bid for atonement, Tim sets out to save the lives of seven good people . He first donates a lung lobe to his brother Ben and then manages  to check out the financial backgrounds of further potential candidates for his help. In each case, he "interviews" them first to determine if they are good people.

But can this sacrifice redeems him?
