Sunday, September 29th: BDX-USA BRUNCH

Sunday 29th, join Kathryn and BDX-USA at the "Jardin Pêcheur" to enjoy a  French-American brunch and the view over Bordeaux from the terrace!

Among other things, we offer you:

- pancakes and toasts,
- crispy bacon and scrambled eggs,
- sausages and beans with tomato sauce,
- "sarladaise" potatoes,
- coffee and tea, hot cocoa and fresh squeezed orange juice...

... and the occasion to chat, in a relaxed way, Americans/Englishmen with Frenchmen and other nationalities in a modern and warm setting.

The "Jardin Pêcheur" is a "bistro culturel" the challenge of which (besides offering well-cooked fresh food) is to give the opportunity for everybody to be independent and have a job to support oneself, that's why 80% of the staff have disablilities of some sort. But the only thing you see is their professionalism, kindness and will to make you feel welcomed.

The address is: 1, quai Armand Lalande 33 000 Bordeaux
 Entrance rue Lucien Faure
You can get there by Tram - line  B and stop at "Cité du Vin" (next to the Chaban Delmas bridge).

The fees are:
- €10 for children below 12,
- €26 for members of BDX-USA,
- €28 for non-members

You can make reservation until September 22nd

BDX-USA, a non-affiliated association, receives no subsidy of any sorts for its daily maintenance and only relies on its membership and fundraisers.

The money collected for this brunch will help us pay the rent and charges of the place where most of its activites take place and where we house our large English library.

We do hope to see many of you, members, non-members and your friends and family, to have a chat and nibble as we treasure the last gleams of the Indian summer of Bordeaux.
