Bastille Day 2016

After we dined on Irish loaf and almond cake from the Toque Cuivrée and homemade apricot clafoutis in the cozy main room of BDX-USA (displaying more French flags for the occasion) straight to the quays to watch the wonderful firework which, I heard an American from NYC tell it, is far more better than the 4th of July's Macy firework.
Well, the one of Bordeaux is clearly among the most gorgeous!

The table is laid and flags displayed.

A pause in the meal to strike a pose.

Chatting, telling the horrible stories about the Revolution, singing the "Marseillaise" and on and on...

Thanks to Andrée to do the wash up and clean the floor before leaving.

For sure, we weren't the only ones to gather on the quays to watch the firework.

On the quays.

Andrée and Kevin, comfortably sitting.

A last pic before the show starts.
