Americana

Until the 12 of April, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, artists Malgorn and Marroi Waldoo, both plasticians, show their works about the USA in a very lovely place, the former chapel of the now vanished Eglise des cordeliers, 20, rue Saint-François.
Bcp de monde hier soir pour l'expo Americana. Michèle Obama n'est finalement pas venue. Elle a pas réussi à se garer dans le quartier !

They especially focus on New-York City, the "ville-monde" as you say in French. (NB: you can meet the expression "global-city", but "ville-monde" would definitively refers to NYC in a French mind).

Clockwise, from top: Midtown Manhattan, Times Square, the Unisphere in Queens, the Brooklyn Bridge, Lower Manhattan with One World Trade Center, Central Park, the headquarters of the United Nations, and the Statue of Liberty

Have a look and as you are in Saint-Michel, enjoy the neighborhood before its complete renovation!

And if you love the city, don't forget to read Laetitia's journal about her trip in Big Apple.
